to supply commercial divers to carry out underwater video
hull inspection on vessels, propeller polishing, reports and
repairs.
Working
closely with shipping agents we are requested to undertake
urgent, at short notice, diving operations on vessels.
This includes -
- Hull repair
- Replacement
of anodes
- Sealing
of stern glands to allow for internal repair and removal
of foreign objects.
- Removal
of marine growth from props, sea chests and rope guards.
- Underwater
video inspections, survey and reports.
We carry Lloyds
certification for small vessel survey.
Forages Floating Dock Newcastle specialize in ship repair.
Divers are required to assist in docking operations where
the shape of the vessel, thruster and sonar positions on some
vessels is critical.
Divers were recently engaged by Waterways to carry out the
salvage of a 50' timber vessel from Newcastle harbour. We
have also been called upon to salvage airplanes, catamarans
and barges. Each salvage is different and divers must adapt
to each application. |
